Summary

Charles Fort, New York librarian, seeker of truth and self-proclaimed foremost authority on the unexplained, faces a particularly difficult mystery when upstanding citizens of New York turn up dead. With the aid of a mysterious companion, he must find the killer before he strikes again, and before the police force manages to string Fort up on Governor Roosevelt''s orders.
